Brief synopsis:
Photosynthesis is a silent video loop. The loop cycles through 4 shots of a single event, the illumination of a tree by a set of massive spot lights. The tree is still for the most part while the lights trace out a pattern through the space of its branches in a methodically regular pattern. The tree is of a common variety and one of many that serve to line a city street. The intensity of the spotlights threaten to overwhelm the branches and leaves of this tree as well as the sensor video recorder used to record the event.
